What happened to Olivia Lone Bear?
In late October 2017, 32-year-old Olivia Lone Bear disappeared from New Town, North Dakota. Her family started posting on Facebook, asking if anyone had seen her. Then, they went to the police. According to Matthew Lone Bear, that’s “where the issues already started”. Law and order is handled differently on tribal land than the rest of the United States.
