Brexit: Theresa May vows to quit – BBC News
The UK Prime Minister Theresa May has promised Conservative MPs she will quit –if they back her Brexit deal. She said she would make way for someone else to lead the next phase of negotiations with the European Union. The move has led to more party rebels saying they're now ready to support her withdrawal agreement, although the Democratic Unionist Party, who provide crucial support to Mrs May’s government, say they still won’t back it. MPs also voted to extend Article 50 to the 12th April, giving the UK two more weeks to secure a deal. However none of the MPs' eight proposed options for Brexit, which were voted on in the House of Commons, secured a clear majority leaving the path ahead unclear.
